Strange entry list for the upcoming Premier Padel competition - 399-ranked first seed

In three days, registration for Genova Premier Padel P2 closes. However, something is very strange with the registration list.
On the FIP website it says that only 15(!) pairs are registered for the competition.

At the beginning of July, the second Premier Padel tournament of the year in Italy will be played. It is a P2 tournament, which means that 56 pairs can participate in the competition, excluding wildcards.

But right now it looks like only 15(!) pairs are entered for the competition on the men's side, where Ferran Gonzalez (ranked 399) and Alvaro Sola (ranked 222) are seeded first. The most remarkable thing is that the registration closes already on Friday and by this time the entry list is usually almost full.

The most likely explanation is that something is wrong with the list and that more couples are actually registered for the competition.

However, it is strange because the women's entry list looks normal with 39 pairs, including many of the best players.

It will be very interesting to follow this mystery until Friday. Could it be that this will be the strangest Premier Padel competition ever? Or is it just a technical problem?

We will get the answer shortly.

Padel Alto has contacted Premier Padel for a comment, but without response.
