Chingotto on the partnership with Galán: ”It's a dream”

ANNONS

In recent months, Argentine player Federico Chingotto has teamed up successfully with Spanish player Ale Galan. In an interview with the Spanish newspaper Sport, Chingotto talks about his new partnership.
- ‘I always fell in the semi-finals and now to be in the competition with everything we have is a dream.

At the beginning of the year, it was announced that Ale Galán and Juan Lebrón would end their collaboration. This led to Galán starting a new partnership with Federico Chingotto. Their partnership has proved to be very successful, with an impressive start where they reached all the finals and secured several victories.

- Many things are happening that I have been working for for a long time and I believe in the team's slogan to ‘ enjoy the moment’ because you never know. When you have played so many finals and won so many championships, you never know how long it will last because sometimes the life of an athlete ends earlier than expected, so I am happy with the present I have, but I always remember where I come from and everything I have had to fight for to get to where I am today,’ he told Spanish newspaper Sport.

Chingotto: ”An extra pressure”

Galán previously told VeinteDiez in an interview that Chingotto was his only option when he parted ways with Lebrón. Now, the Argentinian player shares his view on the new collaboration and says he has worked all his life to get this opportunity.

- Of course it's an extra pressure, but I've worked all my life for this opportunity and I felt prepared, that I was competing well, that I was developing as an athlete and that I had matured a lot. I'm 27 years old now, I've been competing for years and it shows, so I felt well prepared to take on the challenge, he told Spanish newspaper Sport.

Chingotto concludes by saying that everything he is experiencing now is a dream:

- It's a dream. In the end, the dream of an athlete is always to give everything, to win championships, to compete in finals and win titles. I came from being close, I played in a final every now and then. I always fell in the semi-finals and now to be in the fight with everything that we have is a dream.
