Padel Alto predicts: Here is the Spanish European Championship squad on the men's side
The European Championship 2024 will be held this summer.
Spain are obviously the favourites on both the men's and women's side. With less than two months to go until the championship, Padel Alto's reporters have acted as captains and selected the Spanish national squads.
This year will be extra exciting for the national team with two major championships on the schedule. In the summer, there will be a European Championship, which was supposed to take place last year but was postponed. The World Championships will then take place in the autumn.
Ahead of this summer's European Championships, Padel Alto's reporters have selected the Spanish national team squads. Today we present the Spanish men's squad.
- Ale Galan
- Juan Lebron
- Paquito Navarro
- Arturo Coello
- Momo Gonzalez
- Mike Yanguas
- Javi Garrido
- Jon Sanz
The Spanish European Championship squad is full of quality and class. No other team will be able to come close to beating the reigning European champions to the gold. However, it is a little more difficult to predict which players will be selected for the team.
Ale Galan, Juan Lebron and Arturo Coello are obvious choices any day of the week. Paquito Navarro is also a given and fits without a doubt in a squad. We hold Momo Gonzalez in incredibly high favour, and he is an obvious second or third choice for us at the backhand position.
Momo Gonzalez and Javi Garrido have had a fantastic season with several impressive performances. It is clear to us that they deserve a place in the squad. The final choice is between Alex Ruiz and Jon Sanz. It's a tough choice with Ruiz having more championship experience, but we'll go with Jon Sanz as he has clearly outperformed Ruiz this year.
Coki Nieto is another player who could definitely fit in the squad.
