Champion in Chile - Claudia Fernandez makes history

Claudia Fernandez continues her journey of success. 
Last night she made history as the youngest ever winner of a Premier Padel competition.

At the beginning of the season, it was announced that Gemma Triay and Marta Ortega were going their separate ways. As a result, Triay started a partnership with super-talented Claudia Fernandez.

It was a big step for the talent who suddenly found herself among the top three couples in the world. But Claudia Fernandez has shown that she is up to the challenge very well.

Before this week's tournament, Triay and Fernandez had played several finals but hadn't managed to go all the way. All that was missing was a title.

The pair achieved that in the Premier Padel tournament in Chile after a 6-1, 6-4 final win over Lucía Sainz and Patty Llaguno.

18-year-old Claudia Fernandez is now the youngest player ever to win a Premier Padel event.
