Belasteguín returns to quarterfinals after 235 days

ANNONS

Fernando Belasteguín and Juan Tello have qualified for the quarterfinals of the Asunción P2. The 'Boss' enters quarterfinals after 235 days of waiting. Their opponents will be Paquito Navarro and Juan Lebrón.

Bela had a challenging end to the 2023 season marked by injuries. After those quarterfinals at the World Padel Tour in Dusseldorf in September, the Argentine had not been among the top 8 pairs of a tournament.

Although the start with Juan Tello in Seville was not the best, the pair seems to be adjusting the pieces. Bela has been raising his level match by match on the right side.

This afternoon they will have a tough battle against Paquito and Lebrón, another pair that is still in the forming stage. The Spaniards come from a comfortable first round (they won by double 6/0), but from a hard-fought victory against Rico and Gutiérrez in three sets. The match will be the last of the 6 on the central court.
