First top seeds eliminated from the Lotto Brussels P2

Maxi Sánchez and Sanyo Gutiérrez, pair number 7, have been eliminated from the Lotto Brussels P2 after falling 7-6, 7-6 against Pablo García and Emilio Sánchez Chamero. They are the first top seeds to be knocked out of the tournament in Belgium.

The Argentinians came to this tournament with the excitement that a new project always brings. This is version 3.0 of Maxi Sánchez. Sanyo Gutiérrez, who reached number 1 in 2018.

For Sánchez Chamero and García, this is the first time they have reached the quarterfinals this season. Quite an achievement and a testament to the great form these two young players are in.

In the next round, they won't have it easy as they'll face Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán, who showed a very high level today against Zalo Rubio and Jairo Bautista.
