ANNONS

The former world number one in tennis, Pat Rafter, is making a comeback to the spotlight this week - not in tennis, but in the Senior Padel World Championships for Australia.

On 26 July 1999, Pat Rafter reached the top of the tennis rankings after several impressive achievements. He won the US Open in both 1997 and 1998.

This week, the star is participating in the Senior Padel World Cup for Australia. The team managed to defeat Ireland 5-0 with Pat Rafter and Matthew Barrelle winning their match 6-0, 6-1. It was tougher against Italy where Australia was defeated. But Rafter gave a strong performance and lost in a tiebreak in the deciding set.

The loss means that Australia will have to play B playoffs. Today, Ecuador awaits. It will be interesting to see if we see more padel matches with Pat Rafter in the future.
