Juan Lebrón revealed the details of his final conversation with Ale Galán
After the scandal at the Qatar Major 2024 and the surprising breakup with Ale Galán, Juan Lebrón broke the silence to express himself in one of the most complicated moments of his career.
In an interview with Marca, Lebrón expressed deep regret over what happened at the Qatar Major 2024: "What happened does not reflect who I am as a person or as a professional. I have not lived up to expectations. I am very sorry and feel sad with myself."
While Lebrón had already apologized on social media, the former world number 1 did it again: "I want to apologize to Alejandro Galán, Jorge Martínez, the M3 Academy, my team, Premier Padel, the FIP, and of course to my opponents. It's an image that is not appropriate and I am very sorry. I don't want to forget about padel fans, this cannot happen again."
Regarding the breakup with Ale Galán, Lebrón revealed the details of how the conversation went: "When the match ended, we went to Madrid. At the airport, I apologized to Ale and asked if we could talk. At that moment, we gave each other some space. On Thursday, I suggested talking on Friday. I wanted to apologize for what happened. But on the same day in the afternoon, he called me and told me he didn't want to continue with me."
In this situation, the 'Lobo' stated that he was as surprised as the rest of the padel world: "It caught me off guard, and I was very surprised by the news. But it's his decision and it must be respected. I don't know if it's fair or unfair, it's simply something very personal and I have to accept it."
Lebrón and Galán will play their last tournament together in the upcoming P1 in Mexico. For the P2 in Venezuela, Ale Galán has chosen Federico Chingotto as his new partner, while Lebrón will do the same with Momo González.
