Big surprise at the Riyadh P1 - One of the top 4 pairs falls

Sanyo Gutiérrez and Paquito Navarro arrived with great excitement at this Premier Padel Riad P1. It was their debut as a pair in a project that promises great results. However, the number 4 pair of the tournament has been eliminated in the first round against the surprising Esbrí and Rico.

During the first set, Esbrí and Rico showed their best version and prevailed by 6/2. In the second, Paco and Sanyo adapted somewhat better to the challenging conditions with strong wind and heat, and managed to force the third set with a 6/1.

In the final chapter, the number 4 team squandered several break opportunities, while Esbrí and Rico seized theirs to seal the final 6/3.

This is the first major upset of the tournament. The number 4 pair falls in the first round to everyone's surprise. Sanyo and Paquito will have the opportunity to redeem themselves next week at the Qatar Major.
