Ultimate Padel Tour.
This is the name of a new tour that focuses on competitions mainly in Spain with large prize money and favourable offers for the players. Now Héctor Sepulveda, CEO of the UPT, talks about the plans for the new tour.

A few weeks ago, Padel Alto could report about the Ultimate Padel Tour. A new tour with competitions mainly in Spain and with big prize money.

A total of 15 competitions will be held, with twelve of the competitions being played in Spain. There will be equal prize money in both classes, with the winners receiving €11.699 per player. Each tournament offers €280,000 in prize money.

Things happened quickly for the new tour. A few weeks after the presentation, the first competition was underway. This week, the first tournament will be held in A Coruña in north-west Spain.

A number of world stars are taking part in the competition. Riera/Araújo and Castelló/Jensen top the list on the women's side and on the men's side, A.Gutierrez/Campagnolo and Garcia/Leal are among the entries.

All matches on the centre court will be broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch.

Now Héctor Sepulveda, CEO of the UPT, talks about the profitability of the new tour:

"Basically, there are three areas. You have media rights, sponsorship and ticket sales. In padel, the matter of sponsorship is more significant. There is still a lot to be developed to make the media rights something that really works. We will work on that. But there are many other areas of income generation. Such as the rackets, balls and courts," he tells Relevo.

When it comes to investment, tens of millions of euros are involved, he tells the magazine:

"We always project between 10 and 12 years, but if more is possible, it's obvious. As for the money, I can assure you that it is tens of millions of euros, it is a long-term investment, we do not expect immediate profitability".
