Jon Sanz on next season: ”We will have to travel a lot”

From this year, Premier Padel will be the official world tour. This will mean several changes.
Now Jon Sanz talks about the upcoming season.

From next season, a tour will be played under the name Premier Padel and be managed by the International Padel Federation (FIP). Premier Padel's owner Qatar Sports Investment announced this in a press release last year where QSI communicated the takeover of the World Padel Tour.

Now Jon Sanz talks about the new season:

”We will have to travel a lot, but what I like most is playing close to home. The tournaments in Spain are the ones that motivate me the most and I'm really looking forward to them”, he tells Mundo Deportivo.

He continues:

”The trips that are 2 or 3 weeks in a row, my idea is to stay there and train, the fewer flights I take the better and the body has to adapt. I also planned to bring my physical trainer on some of the trips”

For the last ten years, the World Padel Tour has been the official world tour. Jon Sanz says it feels strange to start the new season without the WPT:

”There are a lot of memories. My first final, the Challengers I won, the first draws. I've only played the WPT and for it to disappear from one day to the next is hard because they've done a spectacular job. But now we have to adapt to the new scene," he told the Spanish newspaper”.
