Early next year, the first edition of the HexagonCup will take place. A team competition where players compete for prestige and big prize money. In an interview with Spanish newspaper as, Alex Ruiz talks about how it feels to be part of the team.

The first Hexagon Cup event will be held at the Madrid Arena in Spain between 31 January and 4 February 2024. A total of six teams will participate in the competition, with each team having a men's pair, a women's pair and a talent pair that will compete for one million euros.

Last week the organisers announced the players for the competition, and it turned out that Alex Ruiz will represent Nadal's team.

— It's an honour for me to represent Nadal's team and play for an idol, says Ruiz to as.

He continues:

— The Hexagon Cup is a very attractive competition, like the one we played in Dubai this year (WPL), but with young players. It reminds me of when I used to compete in teams, for Malaga or Andalusia, you create different bonds with your teammates, which is fun for both the players and the fans, who can see pairs in action that they will never see in any other type of competition.
