Super talents improve their rankings after WPT success

ANNONS

Tino Libaak and Leo Augsburger achieved an incredible performance in Mexico, making it all the way to the final.
Now the players have improved their rankings after their success.

Tino Libaak, 17, and Leo Augsburger, 18, have really shocked the padel world this year.

At the beginning of the year, the pair made headlines in the padel world when they became the youngest couple to reach a final on the World Padel Tour. After their successful journey in the South American WPT competition, the duo decided to go their separate ways to collect ranking points.

But the pair reunited in the autumn to play together again and it would result in new success. Last week, the super talents repeated the achievement and made it to another final.

The super talents defeated world number twos Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk last Saturday to secure their second final of the year.

In the final, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello were too difficult, winning the final in straight sets.

The success of the talents has resulted in a rise in ranking on the World Padel Tour. Tino Libaak climbed eight places and is now 25th in the world. Teammate Leo Augsburger climbs seven places and is 18th in the rankings.

It is worth noting that if Libaak/Augsburger had won yesterday's final, Leo Augsburger would have got a place in the Master Final instead of Coki Nieto. Now the Argentinian will instead be present during the competition as a reserve.
