Di Nenno on the top spot in the ranking: ”That's the goal”
Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk won another title yesterday and moved closer to the top of the ranking. Four WPT tournaments remain, and a battle for the top spot.
Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk secured the title in Amsterdam yesterday after a final victory over Paquito Navarro and Federico Chingotto 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. The win brought the pair closer to the top of the rankings as Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello were eliminated in the first round.
There are now four WPT tournaments remaining in the season. Tapia and Coello lead the WPT race with 1695 points over Di Nenno and Stupaczuk. It will be a challenging task for the world number two, but the chance is there.
— We can relate to dreams. If we have the chance, we will try to achieve it. They are the pair to beat right now. We have had a great year and enjoyed this season. But that is the goal, and we will keep going until we get there," Di Nenno said after the win yesterday.
The World Padel Tour is back at the end of October in Menorca.
