Paquito Navarro about next season: "We hope it will be the first stable year"

At the end of August, the news came out that Premier Padel's owners are buying the World Padel Tour and that it will be one and the same tour.
Now Paquito Navarro speaks out about the new tour.

It has been speculated for a long time and Padel Alto has previously reported information that indicates that Premier Padel and the World Padel Tour will be combined in 2024. But at the end of August, the definitive announcement came: Premier Padel's owner Qatar Sports Investment bought the World Padel Tour and from next year it will be one and the same tour.

The Spanish newspaper Sport has interviewed Paquito Navarro about his expectations for the new tour.

— Finally we are going to start a new project. Where there will be more peace between the players and the tour. We hope that it will be the first stable year and where we all work together," Navarro told the magazine.

"The WPT has made this sport grow"

Navarro tells what he thinks the new tour can learn from the World Padel Tour:

— Premier Padel must realise why the relationship between all players and the World Padel Tour has not led to any success or good understanding throughout this time. As the tour is the great promoter of this sport and has taken padel to many places, they need to take into account all their players, the people and the press and make them part of the circuit.

He continues:

— I think Premier Padel should also learn that the World Padel Tour has made this sport grow. The Tour should copy the good things and learn from the mistakes. And if Premier Padel can do both things, I really predict a good future for the sport.

Navarro also says that a success factor for Premier Padel has been that the tour has listened to the players from the beginning:

— Always and from the very beginning. If not, it wouldn't have been possible. They have counted on us when making decisions. That meets the requirements to make this collaboration a long and sustainable relationship.
