Gonzalez and Garrido advance in Sardinia after saving match points

Momo Gonzalez and Javier Garrido are through to the quarter-finals in Sardinia. But today's match was not an easy challenge as the pair had to save match points.

This week, the FIP-Platinum will be held in Sardinia. It is the highest-ranked FIP tournament after the Premier Padel tournaments. Today, the crowd witnessed an exciting battle.

The world duo and second seeds in the competition, Momo Gonzalez and Javi Garrido, faced 18-year-old Pablo Cardona and his partner Pincho Fernandez. The match was a real thriller.

Cardona and Fernandez started the match well, winning the first set. The pair also had two match points at 5-3 in the second set, but Gonzalez and Garrido refused to give up and took the match to a third set after a tiebreak.

Turned around and won

The deciding set was also very close. It was at 4-4 that the higher-ranked pair managed to win the break and could win the match.
