The world duo and second seeds in the competition, Momo Gonzalez and Javi Garrido, faced 18-year-old Pablo Cardona and his partner Pincho Fernandez. The match was a real thriller.
Cardona and Fernandez started the match well, winning the first set. The pair also had two match points at 5-3 in the second set, but Gonzalez and Garrido refused to give up and took the match to a third set after a tiebreak.
Turned around and won
The deciding set was also very close. It was at 4-4 that the higher-ranked pair managed to win the break and could win the match.
