The shock announcement came on Thursday. One of the world's most successful padel coaches, Mariano Amat, is quitting as a coach. In addition to training and coaching Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan, Amat has done successful work at the M3 Padel Academy in Madrid, the premier academy in the world where players like Delfi Brea, Mike Yanguas and Sofia Araujo train daily.
"I am leaving my professional responsibilities in the M3 Academy and competition. I need to stop for a moment and reflect. I think it is the right time to leave the bench of others and sit on my own. I want to express my gratitude to all the professionals and friends I have had the honor of working with for over nine years, as well as to the players I have seen grow at all levels, " writes Mariano Amat in his social channels.
It is unclear if the star coach will return to the padel world again.
"I am proud to have actively participated in a great work team that has led the M3 Academy to become a reference in national and international padel. And I am proud to have accompanied many people along the way."
