It was the second year that the tournament was held at the historic venue Roland Garros in Paris. This year, the number of spectators increased by almost 50 percent from last year, according to Premier Padel's figures.
More than 8,000 spectators watched Sunday's finals on Court Philipp Chatrier on site, and a total of 37,000 spectators were present in the area throughout the week of the tournament.
Argentina at the top
This means the Paris Major is now the tournament with the second-highest attendance of the year. It overtakes the Rome Major (25,000) and Madrid P1 (30,000).
However, the Paris Major did not beat Premier Padel's P1 event in Mendoza, Argentina. In the padel crazy country, 57,000 spectators attended the event.
