Champions in Malaga – secure their tenth title

Paula Josemaría and Ariana Sánchez were crowned champions in Málaga after defeating Gemma Triay and Marta Ortega. The duo clinched their tenth title of the year.

In the morning, the women's final of the World Padel Tour Málaga Open took place. The two best pairs of the tournament had achieved excellent results and secured their spot in the decisive match.

The world's number one pair, Paula Josemaría and Ariana Sánchez, hadn't dropped a single set throughout the entire tournament and secured a convincing victory over Bea González and Delfi Brea in the semifinals.

Gemma Triay and Marta Ortega had only lost five games in total before the final and showed an impressive level of play.

The Final

The final was an intense match in which the top-seeded pair displayed a more stable game right from the start.

The world number one pair got an early break and took control of the match. They exhibited skillful play and were stronger in the duels. With a score of 5-3, Triay and Ortega managed to recover the break, but Josemaría and Sánchez regained the initiative and won the first set 6-4.

The second set started evenly, but Josemaría and Sánchez broke their opponents' serve at 4-2 and edged closer to the title. The world number one pair continued with their consistent play and ended up winning the match in straight sets.

The final score was 6-4 and 6-3 in favor of Josemaría and Sánchez.

"I want to dedicate this title to our team and our family; they support us in good and bad times. Now, I'm looking forward to the holidays," said Paula Josemaría after the victory.

The World Padel Tour will now take a break before returning at the end of August in Finland.
