The main tournament of the Madrid Premier Padel starts tomorrow. Spanish-Argentinean couple Alex Ruiz and Juan Tello forgot to register for the tournament.

But the pair will not miss out on the tournament, as FIP has awarded a wildcard to Ruiz and Tello as the fifth seeds.

“They missed the registration deadline twice. Friday was the first date, and then the organisation postponed it for three more days until Sunday, and they forgot again. They were still given a Wild Card, but since they have points, they don't occupy a Wild Card spot, and the unfair part is that Lucho (Capra) and Maxi (Sanchez) are left out of the top seeds”, said Spaniard Álvaro Cepero in an interview with Padel Alto.

The Spanish-Argentinian duo will therefore skip the first round and go straight into the Round of 16 on Wednesday.
