Pablo Lijó and a bittersweet return to the World Padel Tour circuit
After serving the harsh sanction imposed by the World Padel Tour, the Valencia Open marked the highly anticipated return of the Galician player to the circuit.
After several months of absence, during which he participated in various A1 Padel tournaments alongside Miguel Semmler, Pablo Lijó had the opportunity to return to the World Padel Tour.
The Galician player, who had been heavily sanctioned with a 12-tournament suspension by the WPT, made his comeback in the circuit with a makeshift partner. Teaming up with Javier Garrido, due to the injury of Brazilian player Lucas Campagnolo, Lijó faced a tough challenge in his first match back.
Debut and farewell
Despite not being considered the favorites against the seventh-ranked pair, consisting of Tello and Ruiz, the final result was resounding. Lijó and Garrido were defeated by an indisputable scoreline of 6-0 and 6-2, reflecting the outstanding performance of their opponents.
Beyond the result obtained in his return, undoubtedly the good news is that Pablo Lijó is back in the World Padel Tour circuit.
