Bautista and Rico crowned as the new Spanish champions
Jairo Bautista and Javi Rico overcame the tournament's top-seeded team to claim the title of champions of Spain in the male category.
In the final of the Spanish Championship, the number one pair in the tournament, Gil and Jofre, faced off against the newly formed duo of Jairo Bautista and Javi Rico.
The debutant pair took to the court with great determination and quickly took the lead on the scoreboard. Displaying a high level of play, Bautista and Rico caught their opponents off guard, securing the first set with a score of 6/3.
Gil and Jofre's response was swift, as the Canarian pair started the second set in a spectacular fashion, building a 5/2 lead.
However, just when it seemed like the title would be decided in a third set, Bautista and Rico staged a remarkable comeback. With an impressive streak of five consecutive games, they closed out the match with a score of 6/3 7/5.
With this victory, Jairo Bautista and Javi Rico become the new Spanish champions, succeeding Javi Garrido and Martin Di Nenno.
