The event organised by Argentinean promoter Lisandro Borges is postponed until 2024.

The official competition of the World Padel Tour calendar "America vs Europe" has been suspended.

The organisers have announced that the second edition of the tournament, which was due to be held from 8-10 August in Santiago de Chile, will be postponed until January next year.

The event, organised by Lisandro Borges, already had several confirmed players such as Di Nenno, Lamperti, Ruiz, Garrido, Campagnolo, Brea and Jensen, who would compete in the men's, women's and mixed categories.

In an official statement through their networks, the organisers of the tournament have alleged "force majeure" as the reason for the suspension, and announced the rescheduling of the event for January 2024, keeping Santiago de Chile as the venue.

"The government asked us to reschedule".

Lisandro Borges, organiser of the event, told Padel Alto that the government had asked us to reschedule due to weather conditions that affected the Chilean capital.

"The government asked us to reschedule because of the terrible rains that left dead and missing people. It's a shame," said the Argentinean businessman.
