Official presentation of the Premier Padel Italy Major: "A historic moment"
With the presence of the women's category as the predominant theme, the official presentation of the second tournament of the Premier Padel circuit season took place.
On Wednesday, the official presentation of the Premier Padel Italy Major, the second edition of this prominent tournament, was held in Rome. The event highlighted the inclusion of the women's category, which will be participating for the first time since the circuit's inception over a year ago.
Several personalities from the world of padel were present at the event, including officials from the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, circuit representatives, and the president of the FIP, among other distinguished guests.
Luigi Carraro, president of the International Padel Federation, expressed his satisfaction with Rome hosting the tournament for the second year: “A year ago, all the players defined the roman tournament as the most beautiful due to the charm and warmth of the public. I am convinced that this year athletes and fans will give us even stronger emotions."
Debut of the women's draw in Premier Padel
Ziad Hammoud, member of the Premier Padel Board of Directors, highlighted the importance of including the women's category in Premier Padel as a significant step for the growth of women's padel: "It is a historical moment, as for the first time ever, Premier Padel will be welcoming both our talented male and female athletes will be competing at the same time," he said.
The tournament, which will take place from July 10th to 16th at the iconic Foro Italico in Rome, is expected to be another resounding success following the footsteps of its first edition.
