They part ways after three years: “Everything has a beginning and an end"
Pincho Fernández and José García Diestro, who had previously announced their separation only to reunite weeks later, seem to have reached a point of no return this time around.
Following their performance at the World Padel Tour Valladolid Master, where they were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Yanguas and Belasteguín, the Spanish duo of Pincho Fernández and José García Diestro have decided to go their separate ways.
The pair, who joined forces in September 2020, had their share of ups and downs, ultimately solidifying their partnership as the eleventh-ranked team in the World Padel Tour.
However, after nearly three years of working together, they have chosen to pursue separate paths. "Jose Diestro and I are taking different paths. In sports, just like in life, everything has a beginning and an end," expressed Fernández.
Continuing his message on social media, 'Pincho' stated, "Today, we bid farewell after three years as a team. During this time, we have experienced unimaginable moments that will always remain in our memories, no matter how much time passes."
The duo achieved significant results throughout their partnership. Among their notable accomplishments are the title at the FIP Cagliari 2021, as well as reaching the finals of the Challenger Master in Menorca and the Open 500 in Reus in 2023. They were also crowned champions at the A1 Padel de Tenerife in 2022.
For the time being, either player has announced their future partnerships.
