Alejandra Salazar successfully undergoes surgery
The Spanish player underwent arthroscopic surgery to alleviate a long-standing injury.
Alejandra Salazar has announced that the operation on her right elbow, which she was scheduled to undergo this Wednesday, has been a great success.
The current number three in the world has been playing with discomfort for over two years, experiencing limited range of motion in her right arm that even hindered her normal training.
After the surgery, Salazar reassured her fans through her social media channels: "Surrounded by this amazing team of professionals, the surgery has been a complete success. You guys are rockstars! Forever grateful. Back home now, starting tomorrow on the road to recovery!" wrote the Madrid native.
Salazar will now face a recovery period of approximately two months, with her return to the courts estimated for late August, at the World Padel Tour Finland Open.
