Sanyo and Momo leave the ‘Superpibes’ out of the final in Marbella
The Spanish-Argentine pairing reached the final after a great comeback against Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk.
Sanyo Gutiérrez and Momo González got their revenge from the Denmark final and achieved an impressive victory against the ‘Superpibes’ in the second semifinal of the World Padel Tour Marbella Master.
The match started with Stupaczuk and Di Nenno taking the lead by winning the first set with a score of 6-3. It seemed like the Argentine duo was heading towards another final, but Sanyo and Momo had other plans.
The comeback began in the second set, where González and Gutiérrez displayed their mental and technical strength. Through precise and intelligent play, the Spanish-Argentinian pair managed to win the set by 7-5, leveling the score and keeping their hopes alive of reaching the grand final.
Second final of the season
In the decisive set, the González-Gutiérrez duo was more accurate in crucial moments, and after securing the break in the tenth game, they claimed the third set with a score of 6-4. The final result was 3-6, 7-5, and 6-4, granting the pair a spot in their second final of the season.
Marbella suits the local player Momo Gonzalez, who has become a finalist of the Andalusian Master for the second consecutive year.
Tomorrow, in the final, Momo González and Sanyo Gutiérrez will face the world number one pair, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello, who convincingly defeated Navarro and Chingotto in straight sets, 6-2 6-4, in the first session of the afternoon.
