Argentine Padel Association adds Cecilia Reiter to its team
The Argentine Padel Association (APA) has taken a significant step in strengthening women's padel by announcing the addition of former world number one and two-time world champion, Cecilia Reiter.
The former Argentine player joins the women's junior team's coaching staff alongside renowned figure Virginia Mazzuchi, a three-time world champion alongside Cecilia Baccigalupo.
In an official event presided over by APA President Santiago Brito, the arrival of Reiter and Mazzuchi to the Argentine Padel Association was formalized. Both will assume crucial roles within the organization, responsible for selecting young promising talents in women's padel and actively collaborating with the senior teams.
Adding two former world champions to the staff
The inclusion of Reiter and Mazzuchi represents a significant boost for women's padel in the South American country. Their vast experience and track record in the sports industry make them key figures in fostering the talent of young players and promoting excellence across all categories.
"Adding the experience of these two world champions is a great contribution to Argentine padel. We are confident that the women's division will bring us many joys, thanks to the contributions of Cecilia and Virginia," said the APA President.
On her part, Virginia Mazzuchi expressed her gratitude to Brito for the opportunity and excitedly commented, "We are thrilled and eager to work together. Our goal is to introduce girls to the sport and take Argentine women's padel to the highest level, both in quality and quantity. We know it won't be easy, but we are determined to work on a national level, gradually implementing our ideas."
