Jon Sanz and Coki Nieto became the revelation couple of the World Padel Tour Vienna Open after reaching the semifinals in their first (and last) tournament together.

After stunning the number four ranked pair in the round of 16, Sanz and Nieto continue their determined march in the tournament. This time, they faced the duo of Mike Yanguas and Fernando Belasteguín, whom they defeated in a thrilling match that went to three sets.

Nieto and Sanz capitalized on Yanguas' moments of doubt in the early stages of the match, quickly gaining an advantage on the scoreboard. Although Belasteguín and Yanguas tried to mount a comeback, the lead secured by Sanz and Nieto at the beginning of the set proved decisive, as they claimed the first set.

Yanguas and Bela fought back in the second set. The Spanish-Argentinian pair took more risks, found their rhythm, and won the set, leveling the score at 1-1.

To the semis in debut tournament

The decisive set saw highly contested exchanges, but it was Sanz and Nieto who prevailed in the crucial moments, clinching victory after two and a half hours of play, with a final score of 6/3 3/6 6/4.

In the semifinals, the tournament's revelation pair will face the winner of the clash between the top-seeded favorites, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello, against Campagnolo and Garrido.

The Vienna tournament will be the first and last championship in which the duo of Nieto and Sanz compete together, as Sanz will make his debut in Marbella alongside Alejandro Galán.
