Reigning champions to host this year's Youth World Cup
The International Padel Federation has announced that the Youth World Cup will be held in November. The host country will be reigning champion, Paraguay.
In the fall, the Youth World Championship will be held in Paraguay. Young people worldwide will represent their nation and compete for the prestigious title. The tournament will occur from November 13-18 in Paraguay's capital Asunción.
Luigi Carraro, President of the FIP, said in a press release:
"Every time major competitions such as the Youth World Cup return to the American continent, you can't help but feel a sense of how it all began in this great country over fifty years ago.”
He continues:
"Our mission is to be the stewards of this heritage, promote generational change, train new great champions, and bring as many young people as possible closer to our extraordinary sport."
Paraguay won against Argentina in the final on the men´s side during the last World Championship that was held in Mexico. Spain didn't participate due to covid. On the women´s side, Argentina won the gold medal against Brazil in the final.
