After the injury: Victoria Iglesias returns to the courts, but with a new partner
After suffering an injury at the World Padel Tour Open 500 in Alicante, the Sevillian player will make her comeback at the Marbella Master, but with a new teammate.
In early May, Sevillian player Victoria Iglesias had to withdraw from the WPT Open 500 tournament in Alicante due to an ankle injury.
After nearly a month of recovery, Iglesias will return to the courts at the Marbella Master, but she will not be accompanied by Patty Llaguno. Victoria will play the tournament alongside French player Alix Collombon, who recently announced her split from Alejandra Alonso.
Meanwhile, Patty Llaguno is currently competing at the Vienna Open with Italian player Carolina Orsi, with whom she reached the quarterfinals at the tournament in Denmark last week.
Llaguno and Iglesias started their partnership at the beginning of the season when 38-year-old Patty decided to switch to the forehand side. The pair played in seven tournaments throughout the season, reaching the semifinals at the WPT La Rioja as their best result.
It is still unclear whether the players will continue as a pair once the Marbella tournament concludes.
