In a thrilling clash that kept everyone on the edge of their seats, the fourth seeds of the tournament, Sanyo Gutiérrez and Momo González, successfully clinched their spot in the semifinals of the WPT Vigo Open.

After three and a half hours of intense play, Sanyo Gutiérrez and Momo González won in three sets against a formidable Paquito Navarro and Federico Chingotto.

The match started off better for Navarro and Chingotto, who capitalized on some inconsistencies in their rivals' game to take an early lead and claim the first set. However, in the second set, the tides turned as both pairs fought neck and neck, unable to gain an advantage. The set came down to a thrilling tie-break, in which Momo and Sanyo came out victorious.

As the deciding set unfolded, the physical effort made by the four players began to take its toll. It was then that circumstances got complicated for Paquito Navarro, who started to feel discomfort in one of his legs. Despite the pain, Navarro stayed on court, supported by an exceptional Federico Chingotto, who covered the gaps left by his teammate.

Chingotto and Navarro had three match point opportunities that could have sealed their passage to the semi-finals in the ninth game. However, Sanyo and Momo showed their composure and determination, managing to turn the tables and stay in the match.

In the end, after a tough battle, Sanyo Gutierrez and Momo Gonzalez won 4/6, 7/6, 7/6 and 7/6. Tomorrow, in the semifinals, they will face the winner of the match between Galan/Lebron and Garrido/Sanz.
