Top tennis player Dusan Lajovic is a big fan of padel. So big that he can't wait to retire from tennis so he can play more padel.
Serbian and top 40 tennis player Dusan Lajovic is now coming out as a big fan of padel. During a press conference, he is asked by tennis journalist Jerry Liu about pickleball vs padel.
For Lajovic, the answer is obvious.
“I might get slammed on this, but I think pickleball is for 60+. I think padel is more fun and dynamic to me. I can’t wait to retire to play padel every day. That’s my goal.”
Lajovic is currently ranked number 40 on the ATP tour. He climbed 30 positions in the rankings after winning his second ATP Tour title last week at the Srpska Open in Banja Luka. Lajovic completed a superlative tournament, beating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic and world No. 6 Andrey Rublev en route to the title.
