Announced her retirement from WPT last week — now ready for a comeback
Last week we reported on Anna Cortile's unexpected decision to leave professional padel at 26.
Now she is signed up for the newly launched American league, the Pro Padel League.
53-ranked Anna Cortile's decision to end her career at a professional level shocked many followers of the World Padel Tour. Now she announces that her career within padel is not entirely over.
She has signed for Cancun Padel Team in the newly started American league, Pro Padel League.
"I am very happy to be part of the Pro Padel League and the project in the US," the player says on her Instagram.
Cancun is one of the seven teams that makes "The Original Seven" of the Pro Padel League, whose first edition starts in May. Yesterday, news broke that former tennis pro Juan Martin del Potro will become a strategic advisor to the Miami Padel Club.
