Cardona on leaving Ramirez: ”People thinks that I´m a bastard”

ANNONS

Spanish super talent Pablo Cardona leaves Ivan Ramirez and joins Alex Arroyo. Now he tells the Spanish website Marca about the reason.
— It´s never easy, he says.

18-year-old Pablo Cardona is one of Spain's most interesing talents in padel. Along with Ivan Ramirez, the pair have performed well together, reaching a quarter-final on the World Padel Tour together.

But now the project is over. In an interview with Spanish Marca, the talent explains why.

— I made the decision. It's never easy to do something like this, especially when we're doing so well. Still, with so many couples dancing (changing), I had the opportunity to play with Alex Arroyo, with whom I train at M3 Academy.

Pablo Cardona has recently moved to Madrid to train at the M3 academy, which is considered the best in the world.

— I spoke with Jorge Martinez and Mariano Amat (trainers at M3), and we really liked the option. For me, it could be a step forward and an excellent opportunity to continue growing, and that's why I made the decision. I have zero complaints from Ivanxo, both inside and outside the court.

After the break, Ivan Ramirez posted on his social media that he couldn't get into other people's heads and expressed that the decision was questionable.

”Do not have time to get angry.”

— It's normal, it's hard, we had a good project, and the results were there. But well, padel is like that. This happens a thousand times and there are very few of us. You do not have time to get angry because you never know who you'll have to play with again, and if you look at the seniors, almost all of them have played with each other.

He continues:

— If you look at my Instagram and Twitter profiles, they put me on blast, which doesn't bother or worry me. But it's normal for people from the outside to think that I haven't done well, that I'm a bastard, or that I don't have a heart.

Cardona and Arroyo will debut together in the next World Padel Tour 500 in Reus.
