17-year-old set for historic final after thriller

Claudia Jensen and Jessica Castello put in an impressive performance yesterday as they knocked out the world's number ones. Today, the pair continued to break new barriers by defeating Lucia Sainz and Aranza Osoro 7-6, 7-6. Claudia Jensen becomes the youngest female player to play in a WPT final.

17-year-old Claudia Jensen produced a historic and brilliant performance yesterday. Together with partner Jessica Castello, they defeated world number one Paula Josemaría and Ariana Sánchez 6-3, 7-6.

Today, the pair played the semi-final against Lucia Sainz and Aranza Osoro in the Chile Padel Open. 

The first set was an even affair. Both pairs started by winning their service games. At 4-4, Sainz and Osoro managed to win the break until 5-4, but the talented team won the break back. 

The set was decided in a tiebreak where Jensen and Castello were the strongest and won 8-6.

The second set was equally close, and after many exciting duels, the set was decided in a tiebreak. Again after an incredibly close tiebreak, the talents won 8-6 and took home the match.

Youngest women's player of all time

Claudia Jensen will become the youngest female player to play a WPT final during tomorrow's match.

"I want to congratulate Sainz and Osoro for the tournament. It's boiling here, and it was hard to find any control on the court, but Jess was incredible today. Thanks to everyone who was here," said Claudia Jensen after the win.

Claudia Jensen and Jess Castello will play the final against Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar tomorrow.
