Ale Salazar and Gemma Triay made history in La Rioja after winning the first Argentinean women's tournament in the history of the World Padel Tour. In the final they beat Gonzalez and Ortega by 6/7 6/4 6/1.

The final of the World Padel Tour Open de La Rioja pitted the teams of Bea Gonzalez/Marta Ortega against Alejandra Salazar/Gemma Triay, both looking to claim their first title of the season in Argentina.

The match started off extremely close, with both pairings displaying top level skills on court. Neither of the duos managed to break the parity on the scoreboard, and the first set was finally decided in the tiebreak - after a VAR intervention - in favour of Gonzalez and Ortega.

Salazar and Triay emerged determined to turn the result around in the second part. Even though the world's third-ranked pair exhibited an exceptional defensive game, Gemma and Ale's offensive ability was too much for them, and they got the break in the tenth game, forcing a third set.

In the final set Salazar and Triay brought out their experience in finals. The world number two pairing capitalised on every one of their opponents' mistakes and quickly made the difference on the scoreboard to take the match 6/7 6/4 6/1.

Thus, Salazar and Triay entered the history of the World Padel Tour as the first female players to win a title on Argentinean soil, also achieving the 50th title of Alejandra Salazar's career.
