Talents reach their first quarter-finals — Paquito and Tello's poor form continues
Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello's poor form together continues. The pair have only won one match in three tournaments, and the question is how long the team can last. In La Rioja, the pair lost to Leo Augsburger and Tino Libaak.
The project was surprising when it came at the end of last season. But the project where Paquito Navarro plays forehand has not succeeded, and now the question is whether the couple is looking at a solution with another partner.
Navarro/Tello have only won one match this season, in the first match of the Premier Padel tournament in Doha. They are now out of the La Rioja Open, where Argentinean wild card pair Leo Augsburger and Tino Libaak continue to impress, winning 6-4, 7-6.
This means Augsburger and Libaak now reach their first-ever quarterfinal on the World Padel Tour. There they will face Maxi Sanchez and Lucas Campagnolo.
The pair have moved to the Nox Academy in Barcelona this year, coached by Agustin Tapia's coach, Pablo Crosetti.
