Lijo and Semmler sweep the A1 Padel Sevilla Master qualifiers
In their first participation in the A1 Padel circuit, the Spanish couple Lijo/Semmler got into the main draw of the Sevilla Master, which will start this Tuesday.
After receiving a suspension that prevents him from participating in twelve World Padel Tour tournaments, the Spanish Pablo Lijo has found in the A1 Padel circuit the alternative to stay in competition.
After beating Marc Monne and Joaquim Floresa in the last match of the qualifiers by a resounding 6/1 6/2, the Galician has won - along with his partner Miguel Semmler - his ticket to the main draw of the second Master of the season.
As it was their first participation, the duo had to start the tournament from the qualifying rounds, where they swept through the competition without dropping a set.
Tomorrow they will start their participation in the main draw of the Sevilla Master, where they will face Fabricio Peiron and Matias Gonzalez in the second match of the day.
The other pairings who made it through to the main draw in the European qualifiers were Benjamin Tison-Victor Menna and Igor Amondarain-Antonio Gonzalez (Lucky Loosers).
