Tapia and Coello — kings of Abu Dhabi

Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia beat Lebron and Galan in the final of the Abu Dhabi Master, becoming champions in their first tournament together.

In the final of the World Padel Tour Abu Dhabi Master, the world number ones, Ale Galan and Juan Lebron, faced the recently formed pairing of Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello.

The match started at a frenetic pace, with both pairings trying to take control of the net, but it was Coello and Tapia who struck the first blow. After a tough battle, it was the young stars who managed to take the lead in the tie break of the first set.

The blow received left the world number ones with no reaction. Tapia and Coello didn't let their opponents recover, getting two consecutive breaks at the beginning of the second set, to finally take the match 7/6 6/3. 

"I admire the work that Lebron and Galan have been doing for years. They are our reference. I'm very proud of the team we've put together in such a short time," said Coello in the post-match interview.

Thus, Tapia and Coello become champions in their first tournament as a team. The Spanish-Argentinean couple showed in their debut that they will fight to be the heirs of world padel.
