The debutant duo of Ivan Ramirez and Pablo Cardona extended their unbeaten streak to eleven matches in the year, and made it through to the quarter-finals of the WPT Abu Dhabi Master.

Young Spanish stars Ivan Ramirez and Pablo Cardona made headlines once again at the WPT Abu Dhabi Master.

The pair that started the tournament from the qualifying rounds, got their pass to the quarter finals after eliminating one of the favourite couples, Federico Chingotto and Javier Garrido in two straight sets.

Ramirez and Cardona played an almost perfect encounter, not allowing their opponents to react at any time. The duo took the match convincingly, 6/2 6/3 in just over an hour of play.

The pair, who started playing together at the beginning of the season, have now gone eleven matches unbeaten. Cardona and Ramirez made it into the main draw of the Chile and Argentina Opens, as well as winning all five matches at the Abu Dhabi Masters.

Thus, the young Pablo Cardona (18 years old) reached his first quarter finals in a World Padel Tour tournament, where he will face the pairing of Javier Ruiz and Gonzalo Rubio.
