Banned from the WPT — he will participate in the A1 Padel circuit
Pablo Lijo and his partner Miguel Semmler will participate in the A1 Padel Master of Seville and the Open of France.
After being suspended for twelve tournaments by the World Padel Tour, Pablo Lijo seems to have found an alternative to stay in competition.
The Galician player will compete alongside his partner Miguel Semmler in the A1 Padel, owned by Fabrice Pastor.
The couple Lijo-Semmler is signed up for the next two tournaments of the circuit: The team will take part in the Seville Masters, to be held from 6 to 12 March, as well as in the French Open, which will take place in Beausoleil from 13 to 19 March.
Sources close to the duo confirmed to Padel Alto that the couple's plan is to prioritize the Premier Padel and WPT circuits, but considering the sanction, they will look at the calendar week by week to decide which tournaments they will participate in.
As this is the first appearance on the A1 circuit for Lijo and Semmler, they have points, so the Spanish pair will have to play for a place in the main draw from the qualifying rounds.
