The Pro Padel League (PPL) has announced that MATRIX PADEL has acquired the League's sixth franchise, located in Northwest Arkansas.

North America's premier professional padel league, PPL, has announced its sixth franchise acquired by Barbara Hudson, Shannon Hudson and Johan Den Toom, owners of MATRIX CLUB (founded in Northwest Arkansas in 2021).

"MATRIX Club is one of the top Padel and racquet facilities in North America. I am so excited to have them as the Owners of the first PPL team in the Midwest region of the U.S.”, said Marcos del Pilar, PPL Commissioner.

MATRIX PADEL will be the first Pro Padel League team in the Midwest region of the USA. Arkansas joins the other five announced franchises: Toronto, Los Angeles, San Diego, Miami and Cancun.

“As a business owner, I am proud to be a part of the ground-breaking movement of professional Padel in North America. Acquiring one of the first teams in the Pro Padel League is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be at the forefront of this exciting sport and help shape its future,” commented Shannon Hudson, Team Owner of MATRIX PADEL

In the coming weeks, the PPL will announce other key cities that have been awarded franchises. The inaugural PPL season will kick off in spring 2023 and will conclude with the PPL CUP Championship.
