Draft application now open for North America's PPL
The Pro Padel League (PPL), North America's premier professional padel league, has announced the launch of its inaugural season Player Draft.
Open to padel players from around the world, registration for the PPL Draft is now open.
The registration runs from February 1 to 28, and the Draft will occur on March 15. The players will be selected to play on one of the League's new teams, comprising two male and two female players.
The season will begin in May, and the top four teams will advance to the playoffs in June to compete for the PPL Cup.
“I am so proud that this day has finally arrived. It has always been my dream to grow the sport in North America and support male and female Padel players. I hope all competitive Padel players will apply to be a part of our Draft to help elevate the caliber of the game in North America,” said Marcos del Pilar, Commissioner of the PPL.
The league will be played at a neutral venue in Florida. Matches will be men's, women's, and mixed and will follow the international scoring format.
