IPPA states position on start of negotiations between WPT and PP
For the first time after the beginning of the dialogue between World Padel Tour and Premier Padel, the girls (through an IPPA communiqué) have expressed their opinion on the matter.
Breaking news came unexpectedly this Saturday: The World Padel Tour and Premier Padel began negotiations for a solution to the conflict that has kept them at odds since the beginning of 2022, when the QSI/FIP circuit was created.
The ladies, who have so far stayed out of the discussions, issued an official statement through the IPPA expressing their satisfaction with the news:
"We believe that in order to take the sport of padel to the highest level, it is necessary and essential for everyone to collaborate with the aim of achieving its international expansion and its early recognition as an Olympic sport," the statement said.
It continues:
"The IPPA can only welcome this news, while reiterating, as it has always done, its collaboration with any initiative that favours and promotes the sport of padel".
