The first purpose-built padel arena on earth is being built — here are the first pictures

Recently, the World Padel Tour announced that, for the first time, it would hold an Open tournament in Finland. Now the first purpose-built padel arena in the world is being built in Tampere, where the WPT will be held. 

History is made in Finland. It will be the first country to have a purpose-built arena for padel. The arena is located in Tampere and will host the inaugural Finland Padel Open from August 28th to September 3rd.

When completed, the arena will seat close to 3000 people at the center court. Two courts will be built in the stadium, which will be aiming to host many events in the upcoming years. 

The news is a big milestone in padel history as the fastest-growing sport in the world.
