The WPT circuit will kick off its 2023 season in Abu Dhabi

The World Padel Tour will start its 2023 season with a Master tournament in Abu Dhabi. Thus, the Mallorca Open will not be the first tournament of the season, according to the Argentinean newspaper Ole.

The 2023 World Padel Tour season will start in the Middle East. Although the circuit had announced that the season would start in Mallorca, Ole reveals that Abu Dhabi will host the first tournament of the year.

While there is still no official confirmation - WPT has not yet announced its 2023 calendar with just one month to go until the start of the competition - the circuit has reportedly told players that the first tournament of the season will be the Master in Abu Dhabi, from 21 to 26 February.

To date, only the South American tour in March has confirmed dates: La Rioja (Argentina) from 7 to 12 March, Santiago (Chile) from 14 to 19 March, and Asunción (Paraguay) from 21 to 26 March.
