Rising brand and Spanish player part ways after a year together
Spain's Gonzalo Rubio and Swedish racquet brand Vidar are parting ways after a year of sponsorship.
The player number 25 of the WPT ranking, "Zalo" Rubio, has announced that the racquet brand that sponsored him throughout the 2022 will no longer accompany him this season.
The left-hander had started his business relationship with Swedish racquet brand Vidar in January 2022 and after a year, they have parted ways.
“I feel very proud to have been able to represent around the world a new brand, a growing brand, where I have met a very professional group and I have received excellent treatment from the first to the last day”, said Rubio.
Vidar is a brand founded in Bastad, Sweden, only 5 years ago, and in a short time has established itself in the international market, producing high-quality rackets.
Rubio, who has had a great season alongside young players such as Benitez and Arroyo, announced that he will play in 2023 with an old acquaintance: Javier Ruiz.
Although the Sevillian has not announced it publicly, he will play this season with the Italian brand Heroe's.
