Record attendance at the WPT Master Final — here's the new record
12 141 spectators. That's the largest crowd the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona seen during this weekend's World Padel Tour Master Final. That's a new record for a padel tournament.
The previous attendance record for a single tournament was Premier Padel's P1 tournament in Mendoza, Argentina, where 11,500 spectators turned up earlier this year.
Now we have a new historical figure to build on. 12,141 people made their way to the Palau Sant Jordi for Saturday's semi-finals. Worth mentioning is that the figure was featured on the cover of Spain's biggest sports newspaper, Marca, on the same day as the World Cup final was played on Sunday.
