They knocked out Bela and Coello in their last match as a couple

Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz gave the first surprise of the Master Final after leaving Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello out of the competition in their last tournament as a couple.

Arturo Coello and Fernando Belasteguin didn't have the desired farewell at the Barcelona Master Final. The Spanish-Argentine pairing fell in two sets to Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz, who showed a superlative level.

The pair from Malaga played an almost perfect match, putting pressure on their opponents' serve at all times, getting the breaks at key moments to take the match 6/3 6/2, to spring the first surprise of the tournament.

This was the last match for the pairing of Belasteguin and Coello, as they will change partners for the 2023 season. Fernando Belasteguin will play with Sanyo Gutierrez, while Arturo Coello will play alongside Agustin Tapia.

Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz became the first semifinalists in the men's draw. On Saturday, they will face the winner of the match between Galan/Lebron and Stupa/Lima.
